Black Belt Attitude: Black Belt

“People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude.” — John C. Maxwell

Each week we discuss a Black Belt Attitude topic with the kids in our Warrior Talk. This week will be exactly that – a Black Belt Attitude.

You don’t need a Black Belt to have a Black Belt Attitude. The colour of your belt doesn’t determine the colour of your attitude, even the newest White Belt can display a Black Belt Attitude inside and outside of the dojo.

Our first Grading of the year takes place this Sunday March 20 at the Subiaco PCYC. The Grading Register is now closed – please take note of the following times for the Grading:

Bright Stars (5-8 yrs): 9.00-9.30 a.m
Super Stars (9-14 yrs): 9.40-10.20 a.m
Adults: 11.00 a.m start

The cost is 50.00 for children and Adults White Belt to Blue Tip, payable on the day. Adults Blue Belt and above 65.00.

Parents, you can download a copy of the Grading Sheet and notes we use to grade your child. This is directly from our Trainer’s Manual and is a great tool you can use to discuss and help your kids understand what we look for when we grade them.

A reminder that family and friends are more than welcome to come along and enjoy watching the Grading.

Parents – celebrate the grading achievement with your child, make a big thing of each achievement no matter how small. Work with them when they fall or don’t quite make the mark, let them know that that is okay too, they are finding their feet. Win, lose, pass, fail, it is better to be a part of it than to have never had a go.

Adult students – train hard this week, learn and practice your syllabus. Don’t rush, take a breath and embrace the moment, then give it everything you have.

Please note there will be no classes on Easter Saturday March 26.
